Professional Liability Insurance |
|
- All practicing DC members should enrol in our liability insurance program designed to provide you with important protection from lawsuits in which you may be named for Errors and/or Ommissions, Bodily Injury, Property Damage and Personal Injury.
- Employer's plan will not cover Legal Expenses Reimbursement or Criminal Defence Reimbursement, which are included in our program.
- Employer's Malpractice insurance plan, if any, will not cover your personal liability. Consider your activities of Consulting, Volunteer work, gratuitous advice, to name only a few.
- Litigation against professionals in Canada has increased dramatically. You can be held personally liable for negligence in providing or failing to provide professional services. Courts may attribute your responsibility as a percentage of damages, which may amount to a very significant claim.
